Having become a tetraplegic and full-time wheelchair user following a Rugby injury in 2010, I am passionate about organisations that deliver fun activities for disabled people. During my time working at the Herts Sports Partnership, I have had the opportunity to work closely with HDSF; seeing first hand they very much fit this remit. When the chance to become a HDSF Trustee arose, it was one I had to take!
Having worked at the Herts Sports Partnership for five years, I bring experience of working the sport and physical activity sector. I am the HSP lead on disability inclusion, mental health and safeguarding. I have also previously been involved in fundraising, have experience of developing stakeholder relationships and managing events – all of which provide skills I will bring to my role as a Trustee.
I also set up Hertfordshire’s only Wheelchair Rugby Club in 2018 and continue to be Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club’s chairman. Aside from playing Wheelchair Rugby, I also have a season ticket at Spurs and enjoy a frequent visit to the cinema.
