Mike is an Instructor for HDSF who is also a Paralympic athlete – our gentle giant instructor.
All of our participants love Mike because of his calm, gentle and unassuming manner. Mike is an F44 discus thrower who joined our Instructability course in 2017 – soon showing his ability to connect with and support individuals who are usually very nervous around new people. This natural ability stood out and led him to become one of our instructors.
Since finishing his gym instructors course, Mike has continued to gain qualifications and experience including Level 2 Athletics, power boat driver, Para dance, Archery and Boxercise instructor as well as a bike mechanic.
