Maria is one of our new Board Members. She has previously worked at HDSF as an assistant instructor and loved being part of the culture of the team and seeing the difference HDSF makes to people’s lives.
She was introduced to disability sport by Ros (Charity Director) at Secondary School and took part in a variety of Disability Sports after discovering the positive difference it can have for people, alongside finding an outlet for her competitiveness! Ultimately leading her to represent England at Commonwealth Games 2018 in T35 100m at the Gold Coast.
She spent some time away from the Charity, going to university and beginning her career in television (sport broadcasting) and digital content, but now comes back with new set of skills alongside her previous experiences working for HDSF.
